Case 01 · Morpheus8 + PRP

Morpheus8 + PRP, six months

K.M. came to us at the start of a calendar year with a clear ask: tighten the jawline without surgery, smooth post-acne texture, and look like a more-rested version of herself by August. We built a three-session Morpheus8 protocol layered with platelet-rich plasma. Six-month follow-up below.

Presenting

The patient. The ask.

K.M. had been thinking about Morpheus8 for two years before she finally booked. A patient in her late 40s with a busy professional calendar, she had specifically resisted the standard medspa pitch: she did not want filler in her cheeks, she did not want neurotoxin in her masseters, and she did not want to look 'done.' She wanted the skin she had at 35 — same face, just earlier.

The presenting concerns at consultation were jawline laxity beginning to crepe at the mandibular angle, mild post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation along the cheek from an adolescent breakout history, and a sub-clinical loss of skin elasticity that did not yet read as 'aging' but did read as 'tired.' Dr. Park's read: Morpheus8 was right, layered PRP would meaningfully accelerate the texture component, and the timeline she wanted (six months to a wedding-season look) was achievable with a three-session protocol four weeks apart.

The full timeline.

01

Week 0

Consultation. Baseline photography in standardized lighting. Written informed consent. PRP collection logistics reviewed. Booked the first session two weeks out to allow for a week of pre-treatment retinoid pause.

02

Week 2

Session 1: Morpheus8 across mid-face and jawline, 3.0 mm depth on jawline. PRP applied topically post-session and reserved for follow-up application at day 3. Mild redness for 48 hours. Texture sandpaper-feel for 5 days.

03

Week 6

Session 2: Morpheus8 repeat, 3.5 mm jawline. Patient reported a noticeable smoothness in mid-cheek texture beginning at week 4. No bruising. Day-3 PRP topical.

04

Week 10

Session 3 (final): Morpheus8, full mid-face + jawline, 4.0 mm at angle. Subdued redness window — by session 3 the skin tolerated the energy without significant downstream inflammation.

05

Week 16

First standardized progress photo. Visible jawline tightening at mandibular angle. Mid-cheek texture meaningfully refined. Patient reported makeup sat differently and pores read smaller in selfie light.

06

Week 24

Six-month follow-up. Collagen remodeling at peak. Patient self-rated improvement at 8/10 against her own goal. Booked annual maintenance for the same window the following year.

In the patient's words

I had a clear ask and a real deadline. Dr. Park sat with me for forty-five minutes the first visit and walked me through exactly what Morpheus8 would and wouldn't do — which parts of my face would change, which would not, and what the recovery curve actually looked like, including the parts I would not love. By session three the texture work was obvious. By month six the jawline had quietly shifted. I did not look different. I looked rested. That was the whole point.
